When a company boasts a sizeable group of long-term employees, it usually means that employee satisfaction is good. From the moment our employees start working for us to the moment they retire, we provide tremendous growth and training opportunities. This is not only an investment in Burgeson's, but also a safeguard for homeowners who want to deal with a contractor of high caliber and integrity.
Our Loyal Employees
Here at Burgeson's Heating and Air Conditioning, we do our best to keep our employees happy and busy year-round. Some companies hire extra help for the busy season and then cut them loose when work slows down. At Burgeson's we value each and every member of our team and they stay a part of our team through thick and thin. Our employees enjoy working for us because of our commitment to honesty and integrity. Out of our entire workforce, 14 people have been with us for more than a decade.
President, Dianne Burgeson, celebrates 50 years working for her family's company on June 1st, 2016. She learned the business as a service dispatcher and is now the CEO. Another employee with impressive longevity has been working with us for 40 years. Rich Price worked his way up from the Installation crew into an invaluable Supervisor with even more invaluable experience. Andy Reade, achieves 30 years with the company this July. He's a prime example; starting out as a 19 year old Service Technician and working his way up to one of our most experienced Comfort Advisors as well as Vice President. The opportunity for growth is seen all over our company. Every five years we honor our employees with a recognition award. Only these days we are needing to find new awards as the longevity of our employees increases!
Family Atmosphere
On top of doing the work they love, our employees tend to feel like part of the Burgeson family. We not only work together, but we celebrate achievements together. Our employees love to join in on our company fishing trips, picnics, baseball games, and Christmas parties. In fact, we invite them to bring their own families along. As a matter of fact in our workforce we have quite a few sets of families including brothers, sisters, cousins, and in-laws who have come to work for us. Every new employee that comes in is witness to our strong company culture which in turn instills a strong sense of morals to our entire team. Those morals are a testament to founder Elgar Burgeson's strong code of ethics.
The Learning Never Stops
We have an ongoing education program to inform all of our technicians of all the technological advancements in our industry. Our philosophy is that there is always something more to learn. We even have our own training room where we can set up equipment to show certain issues that are currently happening. We also have weekly meetings with our service department, managers, installation crew, comfort advisors, and more.
Ultimately, our customers enjoy that we have an experienced and knowledgeable group of individuals who are dedicated to helping homeowners increase their comfort levels and energy-efficiency.
